Lembang is a very favorite place of interest in the north of Bandung. It is located at an altitude of between 1,312 to 2,084 meters above sea level. The highest point is the summit of mount Tangkuban Parahu. As the area is located in the mountains, the average temperature ranges between 17o – 27o C.
Most people there work as vegetable farmers since the soil is very fertile. They grow cabbage, spring onion, potato, beets and so on. Some others prefer growing strawberry for their visitor need.
In this distric there is Bosscha onservatory, as well as varioust tourist attractions such as Mount Tangkuban Perahu, Maribaya bathing center, Ir. H. Juanda forest (Dago Pakar) and others.
Culinary tourism is the main attraction of the town of Lembang. Choice of a wide variety of food ranging from typical Sundanese food or other snacks like roasted corn, roasted sticky rice, colenak and many others. “Donat Madu” or honey donuts is one can now be used as souvenirs if we had traveled on the valley. The outlet is also adjacent to the road Cijeruk “Tahu Tauhid”.
